Laura grew up in Ft. Worth, TX in a working class family, where family was top priority. She attended the University of Texas at Arlington, earning a Bachelor of Business Administration degree, with a specialty in Accounting. She and Steve married in May, 1986. After working 5 years as an Assistant Controller in the oil & gas and manufacturing industries, and as an Equipment Accountant for the Super Conducting Super Collider, Laura stayed home to raise and educate their three daughters. The family then moved to the Marshall Islands in 2000, where they lived the idyllic island life. In 2004, a year after the family moved to Las Cruces, NM, Laura earned her real estate license and worked as a successful Associate Broker with various brokerages. In 2013, Laura earned her Qualifying Broker's license, whereupon she and Steve opened Las Cruces Real Estate in 2013; a very successful high-end, high-tech, mobile real estate brokerage.
